The JBC PHXLE-2KA XL Preheater Set is a complete system designed for preheating large PCBAs such as communication boards, aerospace electronics and other large assemblies. It combines a high-power preheater with the PHXLS PCB support, making it ideal for demanding rework and repetitive soldering applications.
The system helps prevent thermal shock on multilayer PCBs while ensuring precise and reliable temperature control.
Heating System
The preheater provides a large heating surface with multiple independently controlled zones:
- 255 × 203 mm (10.04 × 8 in) – single heating zone
- 510 × 610 mm (20 × 24 in) – 6 independent heating zones
Each zone can be switched on or off to adapt heating to the PCB size and layout.
Work Modes
The system features three operating modes for flexible thermal control:
Power Mode
Allows operation at a fixed power level with optional protection thermocouple monitoring.
Temperature Mode
Maintains the PCB at a selected temperature using a regulation thermocouple and optional protection thermocouples.
Profile Mode
Controls the heating rate of the PCBA using control and protection thermocouples, preventing the temperature from exceeding recommended limits.
The system supports 22 profiles with up to 16 steps each.
Up to 8 thermocouples can be connected for accurate monitoring and protection.
PCB Support
The PHXLS PCB Support is fully adjustable and adaptable to many PCB types thanks to its modular design.
