The JBC PHNE-2KA Preheater Set is designed to reduce the risk of thermal shock when reworking small multilayer PCBs, such as those commonly used in smartphones and compact electronics. By preheating the board in a controlled way, the system helps protect sensitive components and improves rework reliability.
This complete solution combines the PHNE heater unit with the PHNS adjustable PCB support, providing stable positioning and accurate temperature control for small PCB assemblies.
Heating and control
The preheater delivers consistent and reliable heating with high temperature accuracy, helping to avoid component damage during rework.
The system offers three work modes:
Power Mode
Works at a fixed power level, with the option to use a protection thermocouple.
Temperature Mode
Keeps the PCBA at a selected temperature using a regulation thermocouple, with optional protection thermocouples.
Profile Mode
Controls the heating rate using control and protection thermocouples without exceeding recommended limits.
Supports 22 temperature profiles (up to 16 steps each).
Up to two thermocouples can be connected in any of the three work modes.
PCB support
The PHNS Support is adaptable to many PCB shapes and sizes using adjustable components and three clearance positions:
- 22 mm (0.86 in)
- 45 mm (1.77 in)
- 65 mm (2.55 in)
